Shearz Institute LLC, Owned by Jasmine Spears along with partners Tiffani Fears and Valencia Reddington was founded in August 2019. Three young African American women with a passion for the beauty industry, who wanted to make a difference in our community. Part owner Tiffani Fears is an Award Winning Bronner Brothers Hairstylist with over 20+ years as not only a Master Cosmetologist, but also a Salon/Barbershop owner in Austell, Georgia, and Cosmetology Instructor gaining her Instructor license in the same exact building she now part owns. Owner Jasmine Spears also was a Hair Stylist for over 2-3 years within the same community, after leaving her ESPN entertainment radio host position. Tiffani & Jasmine noticed that as the stylist finished school the majority was still lost, no one prepared them for the hustle, and the entrepreneur mindset that comes with being in this industry. It’s sad that people have made millions teaching students how to do things that they should have learned while in school. So, they decided to not only open a Cosmetology school that prepared students for State Board, and only for State Board, but to teach the Trends, along with the entrepreneur aspect of the Beauty industry as a whole. Shearz Students will be able to walk into any Salon/ Barbershop or Spa with the knowledge to tackle any service.

Shearz Institute is currently licensed by The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology & Barbering since January 17th, 2020, and The First day of School for over 90 Students at Shearz was January 27th, 2020. Shearz Institute opened the doors offering the following programs, Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetician and Nails, along with Cosmetology and Barbering instructor programs. With Day & Night, Full Time, Part Time options, and over 90 Students enrolled, along with 300+ Students waiting on the Pre-Enrollment list, it was safe to say Shearz Institute was here to Stay. 

Shearz Institute ensures to give back to our community with Senior Wednesday’s giving seniors half off all services every Wednesday, along with $1 haircuts for low-income families every Thursday. Shearz host monthly family & Friends events, offering free food & drinks, live entertainment, and Free services, to give our students the chance to showcase their talents amongst family & friends.

Shearz Institute is dedicated in giving our students the skill set, along with the entrepreneur knowledge needed to excel in this industry. Preparing our students for State Board is Mandatory, but also taking the extra step to prepare our students for a successful Career is the Shearz Way”
